I'm a Spaniel and I built my own SBI website, so can you !

Now some of you are probably wondering how in the name of 10 types of custard is that spaniel building this website.

A clue, think SBI

He has no training, no writing skills and he has big paws. Let me answer your questions.

I have to make sure my claws are trimmed and I always lick any mud off before I type. Firstly the paw thing is tricky but with practice I can just about do it. However progress is slow.

My plan one day is to employ a terrier with tiny paws to do it for me.

As for the I.T. skills I must own up to the fact that I have no formal training. To be honest though I don't really need any.

All I do is observe my Human pets when they are'nt looking.

My Human family all go on the internet but only two of them try to build anything on this great big interweb thing.

The first one is the youngest daughter of my Daddy human and the other is the big old fella himself. The girl is bright and scarily quick at everything she does on a keyboard, so to be honest I don't learn much from her.

I will admit if I had to rely on her I would be in trouble but the universe sent me a gift in the form of my Human Dad.

Now this boy is slow and when I say slow I mean really slow.

Watching him do anything on the computer is like watching paint dry.

It takes him hours to do anything but I give him an A* for persistance.

I sit there all snuggled up beside him, your typical snoozy spaniel pretending to be asleep but really ole'skippers taking it all in and because the old fella works so slow I can easily follow what he's doing.

I've overheard him talking about building Websites and it seems he has built 4 of them which he describes as " All a bit naff " which really did'nt matter because no one looked at them anyway.

I don't want to slag the old fella too much cos he takes me on some cracking walks, tickles my tummy and is'nt mean with the grub. But when it comes to this computor stuff this boy struggles.

Don't get me wrong he's not thick, well not very, its just his brain developed before computers were born.

He try's desperately to learn from his Daughter but he gets confused and develops a headache. She in turn ridicules him as some kind of techno retard. All very sad.

So you can imagine progress is very slow for the old fella.

However he does a redeeming quality despite his lack of technical prowess and that he has an intuitive ability to know when something is right.

In this case I can credit him with discovering this company called SBI to give the full title.

He stumbled across it in 2007 when he purchased an e-book by a man called Ken Evoy who is the CEO of SBI The big fella learnt so much from this book, but due to some strange brain disfunction he went off and purchased some cheap and nasty web hosting service instead of paying a few extra quid for SBI Again very sad.

But several months ago I heard him talking about this SBI and having seen the error of his ways was talking about signing up.

Guess what ? He never actully got around to doing it, I did though, cos I'm skipper, I'm a Spaniel and I'm as clever as a box of Monkey's.

I saw the potential straight away.

So in the dead of night I fired up his laptop took a small loan from his credit card ( to be repaid ) and signed up to the boys and girls at SBI GOOD MOVE SKIP OLD SON !

Next thing you know I am confronted by a wall of knowledge.

( psst ) Let me tell you a little secret, after reading some of the SBI promo stuff that you can link to on this page you might want to sign up yourself to build a niche themed website. If you do be prepared to digest a mountain of knowledge. This SBI crowd seriously over deliver.(you have been warned)

The good thing is this knowledge is really good stuff. Mr Evoy and co really understand how this interweb works.

They seem to know how the modern web surfer thinks and acts and most importantly what they want and are looking for.

I will be honest at this point and say that my progress has been slow due to a fully packed programme of walks, sleep and food but according to that nice Mr Evoy its not a problem.

The main thing is to keep building quality content however fast or slow you can acheive it. They even use the Emblem of a tortoise at SBI Nice steady regular progress is the key to building a successful internet business. Strong foundations built on loads of quality conent is what the punters want. At SBI they use whats called the 10 day programme, but to be honest the day is really an incremental step in a much larger programme. As I said you set your own pace as your time allows.

Let me tell you what has happenend since I started Love-your-spaniel(LYS). SBI advise you to download a fancy bit of software from a company called ALEXA.

Alexa counts all the websites that are in use in the world and counts how popular they are and then give a popularity rating. You've obviously got your Googles and microsofts at the top and then cascading down in the millions until it does'nt even register.

Let me tell you now Mr Evoy was spot on when he says that most website on the world wide web are like deserts. Nobody goes there. Now since I started LYS something weird has taken place. According to those nice people at Alexa my ranking for this site has been climbing every day since I started and is present sittin around the figure shown on this Alexa widget.

It might not sound that remarkable until you realise that means in just a few short months and have only few pages already built and by follwing SBI's programme to the letter this site has entered the top 2% of websites in the WORLD !

WOW!

I put this success down to several factors namely:

1. I followed Mr Evoy and his teams excellent instruction and advice to the letter.

2. I have worked steadily and methodically although very slowly.

3. I am a Doggy genius !

So what does this all mean ?

The truth of the matter is that is not internet hype full of false promises and overnight riches. This is a solid, honest and extremly good company who over deliver to the max.

Follow what they say in the order that they specify and you will have the makings of a solid work from anywhere business.

You don't need any special skills apart from the ability to keep building your site, keep building your content and they will come.

When you take time to really investigate what this company has to offer you will understand that this is not another flip flop webhosting company.

This is potentially a whole new future away from the corparate slog or a life on the scrapheap just because someone says your too old or too young or we've decided to downsize you.

Everyone has an interest or a skill or a hobby and with the advent of this wonderful gift of the world wide web people from all corners of the globe want information about what you have to say.

Just listen to Mr Evoy and co and they will tell how to say it.

There is also a wonderful forum community willing and able to help you.

This new future is open to everyone Young, Old, Fit, Disabled, Short, Tall, Fat,Thin, Ugly, beautiful. I even know a dog that is doing it.

All that is required is the will to work steadily and methodically.
