Face your fear, Just like a Spaniel

When i've been out with my Human pets and charging round the woods at top speed and may I say, looking very impressive, I have often heard them say that I don't seem to have any worry about the outcome.

CORRECT !

I have also heard them say how wonderful it must be to live like a Spaniel. This has got me thinking about this subject and what it means to Humans. It seems to me that most of this stuff is created in your own minds. I was reading a book recently as I usually do in the small hours of the night and I came across this.

FEAR stands for FANTASIZED EXPERIENCES APPEARING REAL

See what I mean, most of your fear is imagined it's an inside job. I remember that very famous saying " I've had a very hard life, most of which never happenend "

So lets look a little closer at what this thing is shall we and why does it dominate so many Humans lives.

Well the answer it seems lives in the past, meaning a couple of million years ago when you guys were developing as a species.

We dogs of course had been perfected sometime before that but I won't rub that in.

It seems is the bodies way of telling you that you are out of your comfort zone, it alerts you to possible danger and in doing so gives you a lovely burst of chemicals which can help you run away or fight. Unfortunatly in todays modern world there aren't to many sabre tooth tigers roaming around the place especially in the warm cozy world of the Human.

So what basically is happening is you are percieving other sort of made up fears all around you that quite often don't actually happen.

Trouble is many of you are making yourselves ill worrying about things that haven't happenend yet. NOT GOOD! So what advice has skip got for you to cope with this kind of anxiety.

basejumper The first thing I recommend you do if fear dominates your life is to acquire a book by an Author called Susan Jeffers called Feel the fear and do it anyway.

The advice is in the title I reckon. So what does it mean exactly ?

It means to conquer your worries don't shy away, move toward what scares you. You will find its never as bad as you imagined, in fact sometimes it can give you a feeling of total euphoria when you overcome that thing you dreaded.

So yet again you will find that it was you all along, it was an inside job as usual. Hope you found this useful
