The Ladies favourite, the Cavalier Spaniel.
The thing with Spaniels is they have a very close bond with wo(man)and this intimacy goes back thousands of years. But the Cavalier Spaniel really does take this relationship to the next level.
It would never do for one of these human pets to have this breed stuck outside in a Kennel or is a shed and visit it occasionally. No way! You see these little adorable Spaniels thrive on human contact and company. This is a sentence that I read in a book. 
" The very essance of the cavalier Spaniel is the unique personality and sensitive loving nature that is best developed by constant human company" Yup! that just about sums these little guy's up Although don't be totally fooled by them. They look all sweet and innocent and butter would'nt melt in their mouths but you still have to remember that they descend from a proud breed of hunting Dogs,
You might take them off down to the Park for a game of ball all prim and proper, but don't be surprised if they run off and find a puddle or a pond to jump into. Chances are they'll be straight after the first Bird or Squirrel that they see. They just can't help that Spaniel naughtiness.
Because of their Spaniel pedigree they are very trainable and will be obedient, well as obedient as a Spaniel can be. But they really come into their own of a cold winters night when they snuggle up on your lap and go to sleep. That is when they are in their element.
The term " attachment dogs " have been used to discribe them as they are just so affectionate they simply can't get close enough to their owners. You might like to see a little of what i've found out regarding the
history of the Cavalier Spaniel And because of this fact and they are probably the most attractive of the Spaniel family. But that is just my humble opinion.
